| ITS BEEN MONTHS...MAN...TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE HAVING FUN! SCHOOL IS AWESOME AND ALMOST OVER....AT LEAST FOR THIS SEMESTER!...CHURCH IS AMAZING....IT IS SO JUST AMAZING HOW GOD WORKS...HE HAS BLESSED OUR CORPS SO MUCH...SURE WE HAVE HAD OUR LITTLE STUMPS THAT WE TRIP OVER, BUT WE GET UP AND KEEP GOING AND THAT IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT..KENNY AND I HAVE BEEN ENGAGED FOR TWO MONTHS NOW...EVERYTIME I LOOK AT MY RING I JUST THINK....WOW....THIS MAN REALLY LOVES ME! WE ARE GOING THROUGH A TRYING TIME THOUGH...HE IS OUT TO SEA...FOR AT LEAST 6 WEEKS...OFF TO SCOTTLAND AND GERMANY...HE IS SO LUCKY...ALTHOUGH FOR HIM AND I IT IS HARD TO SEE THE BLESSING...BUT A VERY WISE AND WONDERFUL PERSON TOLD..."YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND LOVE FOR EACH OTHER WILL ONLY GROW STRONGER"...SHE WASNT GIVING ME FALSE HOPE SHE WAS GIVING STRAIGHT FACTS...SOMETHING THAT I REALLY NEEDED...THANKS BIG SIS! EVEN THOUGH KENNY AND I ARE OVER 4000 MILES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER...I CAN STILL FEEL THE LOVE THAT HE AND I HAVE FOR EACH OTHER AND THAT IS AMAZING...PRAY FOR HIM...HE NEEDS THE ENCOURAGEMENT TO KEEP HIM STRONG! | Man what a long time it has been. Well this year started off really well. Kenny is stationed in Norfolk, Va. His first appointment is the same that my dad had. In February I went to visit, for what was supposed to be a couple of days but ended up being a week. I have no complaints except that i missed school, but it was so worth it because Kenny PROPOSED to me! and of course I said YES! My ring is so beautiful, it is what i have always wanted, something that is different and unique, because no one likes to have the same thing as everyone else, and more importantly, no one else that i know has a TIFFANY & CO ring...but shu, shu, shu...I DO! Yep it came in the little seafoam colored box, with the white ribbon bow...it was so romantic...of course I was sobbing like a baby. so on to more exciting news...a week later I got my braces off....yay!...My teeth look so fake to me...like i got dentures or something...haha...the kids are freaking out because of my retainer...one of them said"You can take your teeth off?" his face was the best part. School is going great...i am taking five classes....American Government, Comp 2, United States History, World Cultures, and Microcomputer Applications...yeah i know what a load, but i am doing really good...i only have two Bs. This year has been very challenging, but God has blessed me so much...first of all with a loving and supportive fiance...and secondly with a family who loves me and encourages me to keep going, and thirdly with a church family who lights up my whole day, when i see them...I truly have been best...even through all the things that could have brought me down, God showed me to not fret about the little things and look at all the blessings that are still to come... | | |
| Yesterday was the scariest day for me, ever. I woke up and it was raining, big deal. I went to the mall for a meeting and thats when it started. I walked outside and it was dark as night. And pouring down cats and dogs. I get home because, hello, I am not driving to work in this weather, traffic would be insane. So i get home and me and Jessica are just relaxing, watching tv, and there it is a weather alert. Tornado Watch! My heart started beating so hard. The only thing I could think of was Kenny. Me and Jessica we so scared, but we survived! Kenny is in Meridian, Mississippi for Storekeeping A-School! Yes, finally away from Boot Camp. I am so proud of him! | | |
